Sara and Jamie, I'm sorry I'm running so late.  Here are peaks of your July blocks.

Sara:

Jamie:

Lori's block is for August!

From Shannon to Bryan

Update: Bryan I am sorry. I did not mail out your package like I said I would. When I did drop it in the mail it did not have the right postage so it came back to me. I will mail it off today. Shannon

I am mailing this off in the morning. I am hoping it gets to you soon. I had to buy fabric, which of course is so sad, LOL!! He asked for a very specific set of fabric colors. That made it so easy. Here is a sneak peek for you.

Block for Bobbie

9 patch for Bobbie
Bobbie is my partner for August, she wanted 9 patch for a scrappy quilt. I had a bunch of kids squares so it is  a I Spy sort of block.

August Swap Information

Hi Everyone!!!

Just wanted to let you know that I have sent out emails with your August swap partner information.  Please ignore the weird and strange spacing in the emails.  After our computer was de-wormed it has caused some very weird copy and paste situations.  If I had taken the time to "pretty" up each email, it probably would have taken me six hours to have them all prepared.  If you do not receive and email, please remember to check your spam folder before contacting me.

Hugs,
Linda G

Well my first swap...
it has been a joy & and

I learned the very hard
way that I in fact do
not have a  correct
1/4" seam! (ug)
That is all fixed now
(thank you Miss Linda)
therefore,
Susan you will have two
blocks to choose from!
Hope you enjoy~

Even if your in Washington State! :)

Lots of Blocks

First off, Cathy here is a sneak peak of your fall coloured log cabin block. It will be posted today. I hope you like.

Laurrie

I also received a couple of blocks in the mail last week. These first two are from Natasha in Nova Scotia. She sent me two beautiful, bright Four Patch Stars. I love the scrappyness that these blocks are taking and can't wait to have all 12 to put together into a quilt.

And finally, Susan from Spokane sent me this

lovely and bright Four Patch Star. I love the polka dots.

I apologize for taking so long to get photos posted, but as you know, life sometimes gets in the way ... Happy sewing, and I can't wait for my next partner.

Check Those Seam Allowances!

I have received a few complaints that blocks are not being made to the 12" requirement - or rather the 12 1/2" unfinished measurement.  Some blocks are being made smaller - some measuring only 11 3/4".  PLEASE remember to check your seam allowances.  Most, if not all, blocks should have 1/4" seam allowances.  Some blocks even call for a 'scant 1/4" seam allowance'.  If your block does not measure up to the 12 1/2" size, then check your seams!  If you would like some ideas on how to achieve these 1/4" seams every time, please feel free to ask here or send me an email.

Hugs,
Linda G
